The Bell Lap
There is a point in every race where the ref rings a loud bell as the peloton screams across the start/finish. The bell signals to the racers and fans that there is one more lap left. This final lap is typically the fastest, hardest, and most intense lap of the race. It is the crescendo of a 90 minute battle in which you lay out all your cards and give it everything you’ve got.
